This is baby is my 85th sculpture. I love him or her... can't decide. But there are a few cracks in the face I can't get out. I sanded as much as I can or want to. I do not think they take away that much. He looks so real at a glance!
Hi Sprite, I am not sure they look like hairline cracks?? I add clay to cured clay and think there was air trapped before baking? I wish I knew how to prevent them! Thank you so much! Hugs Cat
I have always liked to draw ever since I was very young. I have worked in the memorial business hand etching scenes on granite for 18 years. I am self taught and currently sculpting one of a kind art dolls. I always experiment and every sculpture is created using a unique process. I enjoy sculpting all subjects and especially mini mermaid babies and angel babies. And of course life like babies!
Awwwww!! He/she sure does and is absolutely beautiful! Are they cracks or moonies? I can't really see them either way! :) Very nice work.
