This is one of my favorites! She is taking a rest on a sculpted leaf, but it needs finishing.

This is a long work in progress. I just worked on the box yesterday it needs a finish coat.

I created the hugging fish babies a long time ago.

Any suggestions?

Are they too young to be in an intimate embrace?

OOAK Fairy wings WIP

My OOAK Fairy wings were so fun to create!

Each step took many hours.

The materials are paper, paint and wire.

The image is a copy of my hand etched tile. First I burnt the design with a wood burning tool, and lightly sanded.

Second, I mixed paint with tacky glue and painted the wings for strength.

Third step I glued wire to the out side edge of wings.... forth step used wooden dow for center and wrapped with wire glued in place for attaching to a soft bodied baby pictured here.

Not shown... fifth step I coated with shimmery Mod podge... still drying. Next challenge is to create a fairy dress for the baby shown. And finally creating her display bed. More good things to come ! Thanks for viewing!

WIP fairy wings paper

This is an exciting new technique...

I purchased a wood burning tool some years ago.

Well finally got to use it. I wanted a unique way to create wings for a series of fairies. This pair will only be used for reference.

My techniques will develop as I use the tool. I used a rounded tip to create this design... wait until I try the other cutting tips ! Will post pictures of other designs soon. I will be experimenting and having a blast, just getting use to the tool !

 I think my creativity needed a boost and this site will surely lift the spirit!

 Thank you all the wonderful doll sculptors you have inspired me to post and sculpt a new series of dolls! I am planning on doing a fairy doll. Just have to get started.
